For anyone jonesing for the next Kamikaze Hearts album, this'll have to do for awhile. Actually, as opposed to sounding like some cross between The Band and Son Volt, Matthew solo sounds more like a cross between Nickel Creek and early Sufjan Stevens. Matthew's voice isn't as distinctive as Troy Pohl or Gaven Richard's, but being the instrumental chops behind them he handles himself just fine here.
