This one is a must for any ambient library!

\"Blue Cosmos\" is an excellent example of space-themed ambience. Meg Bowles is one of the few women, producing this type of electronic music. Along with her contemporaries Constance Demby, and Stephanie Sante. This one, is truly a 'classic', and a must for all serious listeners of the genre. It ranks in quality beside the works of Michael Stearns, Jonn Serrie, Between Interval, and Max Corbacho. There are a number of stand-out tracks: 'Footprints in the Sky', 'Organic Lullaby', 'Fire-Sower', and 'Weird Vapor'. If you listen to artists like Alpha Wave Movement and Spacecraft, then this will be right-up your alley. Highly Recommended.

They Say All Music Guide

From the opening of Meg Bowles’ dark and haunting Blue Cosmos, one gets an immediate feel for the direction of this recording. Dark and sonorously rich synthesizer chordings languidly move throughout this disc into one expertly composed composition after another. This is a very characteristic ambient/space music recording, with moments of soft and subtle beauty and other moments of Berlin-school-oriented creative meanderings, á la Tangerine Dream, Ashra, and Klaus Schulze. Meg Bowles’ 1996 release is a rare and fantastic debut recording, that at once demonstrates her gifted compositional skill, as well as her ability to entice the listener with her choice of lush timbres and discreet musical brilliance. Meg Bowles’ Blue Cosmos is an excellent offering and represents the bold and exciting works that she has yet to release. Blue Cosmos is a relaxing and pleasing sonic excursion into the cosmic netherworld and beyond. – Matt Borghi
