In my top 3 albums of 2016 so far
It's a wonderful record - poignant, moving, melodically creative, clever pop in an old fashioned sense, funny, arch, intensely moody then flippantly light at the next stroke. Every song has something to offer, often something quite different from the track before. I would say it's near perfect. I downloaded the Race Horses albums also on emusic after this - also good, but this is something else. Some of it reminded me of Julian Cope at his poppiest Scott Walker-ish best, with a Welsh accent and classical training.
