Someday, I hope e-music will get the Mekons' first lp 'the quality of mercy'. It was their best, even though as they declined over the decades following, they fell very very slowly... Save us before the vinyl gives out! This was a good follow-up, and seems to have stood up reasonably well.
this self titled release captures a sound that is hard to describe but somewhat creepily spaced out. Some favorites of mine are: "snow", "I'm so happy", "buisness tango", "john barry", and "another set of teeth". This album reminds me of PIL's 'second edition'... but better (which i'd never thought i'd say).
