Needle in the Hay
The review title both describes this album as a unique find, as well as its resemblance to the late Elliott Smith's 'Needle in the Hay'. This record is melancholy and moving. It's the kind of album I would put on when riding a train through Europe after having just broken up with a long time girlfriend, and happen to be sitting next to a gorgeous woman with unexplored potential. It resonates with a sense of hopeful melancholy. Fave track: Christiane. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
