If the steady stream of grating Ninja Tune genre exploitation didn’t instill doubts of creative famine, the volley of watered-down, conservative, stay-at-home, psychedelic beats did. Mescalito’s second album for Tummy Touch, We Disappeared in Style, suffered from poor planning and worse execution, restricted to little more than an anxious and difficult take on the low-lit charm of Bonobo or Dusted.
