Enchanting!
The song that caught my ear was "Boom Boom Ba" (not on this album), part of the Dead Like Me soundtrack. I had no idea who sang it so I searched partial lyrics... and found Métisse! I was instantly hooked. I wanted to buy the CDs on Amazon but, lo and behold, they had none! I couldn't believe it so I started searching further... and ended up buying subscription to eMusic. OK, back to Métisse and their enchanting music. Their website describes it as "a mixture of true Celtic electronic wizardry and the beauty of all that is African. There and then they (Aïda and Skully) decided to work together and called themselves Métisse... meaning mixture... mixture of black and white, of African and European, of electronic and soul". There really is no better definition of this beautiful, haunting, reaching deep into the core music. You just have to hear it, I mean, really listen to it. If you love Delerium, Enya, Enigma and Deep Forest, you'll love Metisse. peace. bendis
