Oracular Spectacular / Time to Pretend were landmark albums and Congratulations was a decent follow up. This MGMT album seems to be one of those transition albums. The band might not be sure where they're going, so you get a variety of sounds. I dig Introspection and A Good Sadness, but not much else that peaks my interest.
Thanks largely to their remixes of songs by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and other indie bands that don't ordinarily embrace dance beats, Brooklyn's Little Daylight built a formidable internet buzz before they'd played their first show.
