Mick's latest release might be one of his strongest, and is highly recommended for fans of UK blues rock in the mold of Kim Simmonds/Savoy Brown and Rory Gallagher. This new album is tad more cranked up than some of Mick's past releases-- hear that beat up old Gibson and Marshall amp roar! Mick hits the standby switch and straps on an acoustic for the absolutely splendid "Horse Bolt Stomp". Otherwise, it's mostly balls to the wall Brit boogie and blooz. Tight band, well recorded. PS- Also check out Mick's early work with the late 60's/early 70's band Killing Floor, also available here at eMusic.com.
