A must for lovers of classical music.

The combination of a Charles Stephney Orchestra and the voice of Minnie Riperton wil cut a deep groove into your soul. Her voice is used as an instrument to accompany his wonderful arrangements. Not for the r&b lovers of Minnie's recordings after this project. This is pure classical soul in the vein of Rotary Connection and Fifth Dimension. This can be played right alongside Terry Callier's What Color Is Love album also arranged by Charles Stephney with a 26 piece orchestra. Note: Charles Stephney was the Arranger for Earth Wind and Fire's early 70's material. Can't argue with that talent.

Incredible voice, incredible album

For a time this album had been withdrawn from the eMusic catalog. I'm pleased to see it's here once again. Though downloaded years ago here, this digitally remastered edition sounds better than what I have. I was excited to see more of her albums listed until I realized that all four of them are copies of this one. One of the other albums is even digitally remastered.
