Decent overview of late-period Modern Jazz Quartet sessions that were recorded for Pablo in the early ’80s, after pianist John Lewis, vibist Milt Jackson, bassist Percy Heath, and drummer Connie Kay renewed their musical association in 1982 following a lengthy absence. They only made a few albums for Pablo in the mid-’80s before returning to Atlantic, but both were excellent. – Ron Wynn
