Not bad, just not coherent
About half the tracks are good, Morbid Angel style death metal. As a previous reviewer said, these tracks remind of "Dominion" and "Formulas...". Then there's the controversial stuff. Tracks 2 and 11 are hardcore techno, though strangely you can still tell it's MA. It's as if Chthulu has been transformed into a mechanical-tentacled manga monster. Not bad if you like that sort of thing. Then there's a slew of tracks with silly and/or self-referential lyrics. "Desctructos..." sounds like something GWAR would have written, and "RADICULT" is like Body Count. For me, the problem isn't the experimentation in other genres of music, it's the overall "feel" of the album. Morbid Angel albums used to exude a feel of diseased evil, dark dimensions populated by the ancient ones. This feels like an album of odds and ends - the serious and silly, traditional and experimental, all mashed together. It seems to lack the coherency of a proper album.
