Varese's Absolutely the Best concentrates on Jose Feliciano's English-language hits, including his interpretations of "Light My Fire," "You Send Me," "Jealous Guy," and "In My Life." "Samba Pa Ti," "La Bamba," and "Feliz Navidad," however, reflect his Puerto Rican roots. "Rain," "The Last Time," and "Chico and the Man" are some of the other highlights of this collection, which is not as diverse or extensive as other collections of Feliciano's work, but is still worthwhile as a concise look at his career.
