Fully Rounded Album With Beauty

With such a beautiful opener, on my first listen I thaught this album would quickly fall away. Yes, track one does set the bar rather high for the other 9 tunes, but Mr. Projectile keeps things interesting by throwing in Hip-Hop beats, rising vocal soundscapes, and just plain old listenable electronic music. I should really rate Sinking 4 out of 5 becouse it is nothing really special (apart from track 1), but I don't have the heart. If you were to pass this album on the street, it would probably run up to you and give you a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Fine, lush-sounding electronica with plenty of intricacies. Choice tracks are Acting Right, You Need and Resistance is Fertile. However, the rest are still decent.

I can't believe I'd never heard of this before! An awesome album. Think 'Boards of Canada' meets 'Aphex Twin' (well, the ambiant stuff) but much more polished. A must for Music lovers!

Sinking has been played heavily in my home since I downloaded it here on emusic. After I heard a few clips, I decided to take a risk and download the whole disc. I am endlessly thankful that I did. This disc has quickly become one of my favorites. The first track is one of most beautiful IDM tracks that I can recall. The entire disc is moving and emotional, but it also contains plenty of punch with slammin' hip hop beats and funky bass lines. I highly recommend this disc. Ariel spoomusic.com/
