Lighter on the ear than a lot of electronic albums, but just as rhythmic and more melodic than most without ever trying too hard. Great for headphones where you find yourself focusing on the melodies and nodding to the subtle beats without even realizing.

You couldn't ask for a more melodic, crystalline and cohesive take on the classic mu sound. Best electronic album I've heard in some time. Try 'My Friend T3'.

Simply Gorgeous

bleego

It's actually hard for me to believe it, but this album really is just that good. Mu is simply unbelievable these days in its quality releases. It is up there with some of the best. If Paradinas wrote this and put it out there under the µ-Ziq name, it'd be his best record. It does indeed harken back to 2000 with its pacing and melodicism, but it's selective use of textures and just lovely song structure and progression is quite mature. The album has a melodic sophistication and simplicity. All of the songs are memorable. Perhaps its greatest downfall is in its nostalgia. Too soon?

Derivative?

skerzo2

I read lots of reviews of this negatively stating it was derivative... well yes it is but its still frickin ace. If like me you love the classic Warp/µ early 90s IDM sound and could have happily continued purchasing and lapping it up well into this century then get this - you won't be disappointed, its strong enough to stand on its own alongside its heritage.

I challenge anyone to download Track 3 and not fall instantly in love with the beauty of Mrs Jynx's creations. For lovers of melodic electronica everywhere.
