Mucker Who?
I got to see these guys open for They Might Be Giants at Oberlin College in 199something. When they went on stage to set up I thought they were the roadies, but their set turned out to be one of the funniest and most entertaining shows I have ever seen. This album was produced by John Flansburgh, and there is a lot of TMBG in their music, but the sound is still unique. They are at times sarcastic and even childish, but always hilarious. If you are looking for a sample, grab "Dictionary," "MC Speller," "Liar," and "I Wanna Get KC," then grab the other full length "Tossing a Friend" and the classic "Gay EP." You won't regret it.
