Love this album
it's kooky, spooky, sweet, tormented, haunting... it doesnt rock out much at all, but is perfect for late nights alone.

Interesting mix for Mugison. One can see his past styles (which are pretty good) and his style to be (which is more like mood music.) For those who have followed him or got hooked by #8 I'd Ask on the album Screaming Masterpiece, #1, #2, #5, #9 are worthy and #6 shows more of his beginnings. I would follow the recommendation of a previous reviewer and avoid #12 unless you like that sort of style. All in all, I think that this is an album where Mugison is exploring his following, himself and those with money who are willing to back an album in the hopes of making more money from the audiences of the times.
I just heard Mugimama and it blew me away. It's a total hodge-podge of down'n dirty raunch (Sad as a Truck, I want you), quirky who-gives-a-crap what? (The chicken song, What I would say in your funeral, Murr murr), and achingly beautiful introspectives (2 birds, I'd ask, Hold on 2 happiness). Salt is in a category of its own - a quasi-20th Century classical bone chilling piece of art. It caught me completely off guard. If you want to download only one or two songs, I'd go for Murr murr if you're into catchy acoustic and Sad as a truck if you want some fun. Don't download Afi minn unless you like a snippet of harp playing and Icelandic and then a bunch of domestic sounds...not worth it on dial-up! All the same, I think this album is best enjoyed as a whole (except the last track). Just my opinion.
This song is flat-out freaky. I should hate this, but it's so damn compelling. It's like an audio painting with every word, every inflection, the accent--all perfect brush strokes. Listen... it will send chills up your spine.
