I was introduced to Mulatu Astatke with his album with The Heliocentrics. New York - Addis shows an excellent musician in his own right.

The following tracks overlap with Ethiopiques 4: 1,6,11,14,17,18,19,20. If you have E4, just cut out these 8 tracks and you'll have a nice 12-credit download - not to mention two scorching albums.

Jim Jarmusch featured the excellent songs "Yèkèrmo Sèw," "Yègellé Tezeta" and others in his film "Broken Flowers" and turned me on to this excellent musician. Seems like there is a lot more music here to mine as well.
