Saddens Me That It Is Close to being Forgotten...

grooveymood

Many 1980's underground threads woven into something unique. The first two albums are ragged and interesting. The singers voice might remind people of Mountain Goats along with it's lo-fi production values. You can hear elements of British Post Punk bands coupled with the sensibilities of the American Underground. It has a touch of Joy Division and heaps of early R.E.M., but also includes unhinged and odd qualities along the lines of Eyeless in Gaza. This band has many albums ready for ears to take a chance on. They never made much headway even in their heyday and it seems that they are close to being lost in time even in the digital age when things are ripe to be rediscovered.

When are Interpol going to start paying royalties

to My Dad Is Dead for making a lucrative career out of repeatedly ripping off the song "Babe in the Woods?"
