Great Carnatic Violinist of Past
The rasikas (music connoisseurs) of Bangalore so loved Mysore T Chowdiah's music that the built an auditorium in his honour, shaped like a violin with 7 strings. If that seems eccentric, perhaps his preferred sound from a violin augmented by 3 strings was, too. Be that as it may, his fine music featured in numerous solo concerts & accompanied the leading rtists of his day. His violin students included RK Srinivasa Shastri and V Sethuramaiah.
