Rock'n Hard Album

Slash101

Great album with a lot of catchy lyrics. I think that this is a must get for classic rock fans who enjoy albums with more then one or two good songs.

Everything that's wrong with rock

IreneRingworm

Bland, overproduced rock with inane lyrics. "If Today Was Your Last Day" is probably the worst of the bunch, a radio-friendly exercise in fifty-cent philosophy and forced rhymes that seems targeted towards unsophisticated sixth graders. That these guys fill arenas at the expense of myriad genuinely talented bands ought to offend anyone who claims to love music.

They Say All Music Guide

Nickelback are not known for their insight, but Chad Kroeger’s caterwauling claim that “we got no class, no taste” on “Burn It to the Ground,” is a slice of perceptive, precise self-examination. Nickelback are a gnarled, vulgar band reveling in their ignorance of the very notion of taste, knocking out knuckle-dragging riffs that seem rarefied in comparison to their thick, boneheaded words. Of the two, the music is far less offensive, particularly on Dark Horse, where they work with the legendary producer Robert “Mutt” Lange, who pumps up muscle on Nickelback’s heaviest rockers and adding some color to their power ballads, suggesting some heretofore verboten suggestions of modernity in the form of electronic rhythms. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
