One more in the seemingly endless conveyor belt of Nico live albums that are more or less anonymous in the absence of concrete recording information — the peril, of course, of her gigging through the 1980s without a record label to her name, but any number of friends, advisers, and passing acquaintances willing to slip her some extra cash for a live tape. The bulk of this disc was recorded during Nico’s 1983 tour, and has appeared on a variety of other CDs over the years; also present are the two tracks produced by Martin Hannett for a 12″ single the previous year,
the stately “Procession,” and a live “All Tomorrow’s Parties.” But, again, these are scarcely hard to find, rendering this set, indeed, just one more off the conveyor belt. – Dave Thompson
