"Blue Planet" is the newest release from 'smooth-jazz' guitarist Nils. Thematically most of the cuts follow a laid-back type of 'Rio-chill', similar to that of Torcuato Mariano. A number of the individual tracks are stand-outs, and showcase this artist's exceptional guitar playing. I have no idea, why it seems that ever practitioner of this type of music feels the need to 'always add' a few vocals from unknown, or retrograde stars. To me, it detracts from the mood, especially when the singer[s] are clearly limited, and it most often really adds nothing to the performance platform. Plus, paying .45 cents for an 8-second credit is ridiculous. If your a Nils fan you'll probably want the whole album.
