Fave for 2007
This ended up being in my top 10 for 2007. Incredible artistry. "Prayer for Beauty", "Ice Dragons", "Into the wild", and "Army of Nows" are all amazing songs to start exploring the beautiful music of Noe Venable.

Cold and Beautiful
The Summer Storm Journals is marked by restraint and quiet beauty, bringing to mind Douglas Adams' Fiordland "huge sculpted caves and arches... like a number of Gothic cathedrals dropped from a considerable height". This is a carefully constructed album and deserves a full listen, but if you wish to sample first, the live show favorites "Ice Dragons" and "Into the Wild" and the Brubeck-like "Army of Nows" are good places to start.
