Olivia's Very Best!!
As a long-time fan,I love this expression of a new depth to Olivia's life and music. Track 2 expresses her environmental consciousness and her sense of the unity of all humanity, a theme carried out throughout the album. Drawing from a range of religious traditions, a sense of oneness is affirmed in songs of hope and faith. Tracks 14,16, & 20 draw upon the Judeo-Christian tradition & address the themes of trust and peacemaking. The Buddhist mantra "Gate, Gate," is hypnotic, and elicits a sense of transcendent hope. Track 18 affirms the importance of living in the present, a theme common to Buddhism and Christianity. Every track is filled with hope and faith, underscored by the beautiful voice, the calming music, & the instrumental interludes. I have listened many times to this CD, and find it to be a healing balm to my spirit, A gift of GRACE for which I feel much GRATITUDE!
