First, I am a big fan of The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In, and Omar Reodriguez-Lopez. I can't get enough. I like the imagination, the complexity, and the energy. This album is different and the same. It is different because there are horns and jazzier feel with a smoother energy than most of Lopez's work. It is the same in that the imagination is boundless —and of course the guitar is intense. If you only want one album by Omar, this should probably be the one.
