Thoroughly Mediocre: AllMusic Review is Spot On
The AllMusic.com review at right is spot on: This album is embarrassingly derivative and mediocre. Some of the songs are noticeably hooky and catchy, but for every "good" song, there's a cringe-worthy piece of garbage like the weirdly cock-rock / rap track, "Rich and Poor." The worst songs are like reading a 14-year-old's angsty poetry; the best are like a diet of cotton candy (seemed like a good idea at the time, but afterwards you feel kinda sick and bloated and empty all at once). So I'm not saying don't buy this album (I still might, just for the shallow pop hooks) but if you do buy it, be sure to pay bottom dollar, and don't expect much. Because there's almost nothing here.
