Songs that uplift, broaden and deepen.
2004 | Label: New Earth

Buddha Garden features exquisite acoustic guitar and sitar playing by Parijat, a virtuoso from Germany who was deeply influenced by his travels to India. His music showcases his supple fretwork over the occasional sound of rushing water and atmospheric synth. But even though the music is light, it is not lightweight: Parijat is quite adept at composing songs that uplift, broaden and deepen, making the sum total both enervating yet calming.

very relaxing guitar music. even the repetitive nature of many of the arrangements do not intrude on the enjoyment. a reviewer below mentioned track 2 "Flowering" - the reviewer could not be more correct. One of the most beautiful pieces i have ever downloaded from here. check it out!!!

tradition

i find this music a bit too traditional for me yet it is very well played. i did download "bowing down in grace". the sample was very nice yet after downloading it, it became very repetitious and eventually boring.

Good harmonious music, beautiful guitars strings. My favorite number 2, rest are not a five points, but mostly four. Worth downloading.

Textbook Mood Music

Very good music to listen to if you're trying to unwind or are the sort who likes to have something playing quietly in the background while you're reading a book or making dinner. Flowering is probably one of the most impressive pieces of music I've heard all year. Unfortunately, the rest of the album isn't as breath taking, but it's still quite good. Recommended.

The album as a whole rates about a "3" with me, but I absolutely love the cut "Flowering" which is a 10/10, one of my top favorites amongst the whole emusic collection.

Superb guitar music

This album is great for creating a relaxed but aware atmosphere. I use it at home and in my yoga classes. It's probably good for bistro listening too.

Music for Massage

By Robert Phoenix, eMusic Contributor

The body is tired and the emotions are frayed. The stress of the modern world has settled heavily into the bones, and a weariness grabs hold and won't let go until it's touched, caressed, rubbed, stretched, pulled and, on the exhalation of a breath, released into the ether, evaporating back into nothingness. Music is a powerful agent of relaxation, a key element of this experience. In a sacred space, warmly illuminated by candles, the scent… more »
