Great Debut!
"don't waste your time" as a supposed review isn't very helpful. Paris has a largely diverse (& deserved) fan base, so here's a real review. The biggest issue with the album is that it doesn't have an "album flow" to it. Hip-hop, R&B, classic vocal, rock - all reprsented here. But this (along w/ the *choice* to do an indie release!) - quite brave under her circumstances! Just a couple tracks are throwaways (for MY taste), but others are outright brilliant. I'm not much of an R&B/hip-hop fan, but the impressive vocal arrangements and P's awesome emotional, unique delivery have me REGULARLY listening to genres I'd normally avoid! The tracks ORDINARY LOVE, DREAMIN, CANT CONTROL MYSELF, IM SO HOT, GET BIZZY, and CAUGHT UP (with subtle arabian vocal textures), BURNT UP (though, a bit odd), and I WILL are real standouts! This one IS worth it! 4 stars all-in-all!
