Guitar Hero

Pat Travers name is synonymous with rock and blues electric guitar. This album has that great hard blues rock feel that permeated the '70s rock scene. Nevertheless, Travers adds a bit of funk and R&B feel to the tunes. Dedication almost sounds like a tribute song to Stevie Wonder's influences on R&B in the period. The album is well produced but not a great recording effort. The sound is thin in places but still holds up for the most part. Song for Song this is a great buy!!

A good place to start.

Despite being overshadowed by the holy trinity of Page, Beck and Clapton, Pat Travers achieved a piercing energy on this release from 1977.

Best Travers Album

forestnut

This is my favorite album by Pat Travers. I used to listen to them a lot when i was younger. Always preferred his older stuff. It is great to see this here on emusic now. Only problem with this album is that the track listings are screwed up, so when you download it, the listings of the song names do not match with the actual songs. I think Life in London is the only one that is correct.
