Paul Desmond has selected songs musicians enjoy playing because of the changes in chords, rhythems and the freedom to greatly interpret melody. A nonmusician would not understand!

Pleasant but uninspiring
Somehow Paul Desmond without Dave Brubeck seems wrong. These tracks are pleasant enough, with the familiar Desmond cool alto sound, but too many of them sound alike. Maybe Desmond only has a finite set of riffs.
