Great songs, but...

...it's almost a retread of "Negotiations and Love Songs." If you don't have the earlier Simon already, download the whole thing. If you've already got "Negotiations" and "Graceland" in your library, double-check the song lists and download what you're missing. Don't get me wrong--the music is fabulous-- but most of these songs appear on just two of Paul Simon's wonderful albums.

This Album Rocks

Having grown up with some of the best music known to man (Elvis, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc.) this is one of the BEST collections of Paul Simon's work. I listen to it daily and pick up new meanings in his songs Love Me Like A Rock, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, and Still Crazy After All These Years. I especially loved Graceland which was inspired by South African Township music. All in all, a great album by a great musician and humanitarian...definitely worth a listen!

From the minute he broke it off with Art Garfunkel, Simon has sought out collaborators from all over the musical spectrum, and for a couple of decades he got great… more »

Icon: Simon and Garfunkel

By Amanda Petrusich, eMusic Contributor

Maybe it's the duo's indelible association with The Graduate - still the perfect summation of post-collegiate meandering - or maybe it's all the ennui lurking in those sweet, achy harmonies, but few vocalists can out-wist Simon and Garfunkel. Although they began as a traditional folk duo, performing expertly cooed covers of English and Celtic folksongs, Paul Simon's legendary songwriting - and a bit of rock 'n 'roll defiance - eventually seeped in, and a slew… more »
