could be better

There are some good moments in this series, but I wouldn't call this a high point, and 128 kbps with a missing track is inexcusable now that e-music has bumped up their prices.

Random?

Not sure what the previous reviewer was listening to. Did you notice the recurring "audio flare" throughout? How about how the melancholy tune in track 1 that reprises in tracks 3 and 10? Sure this is more challenging than your average Jarre record (like that's a bad thing), but this is hardly random. However, I dock it one star for the uninspired techno dotting tracks 4-6, 8 and 10, and dock emusic another for the missing track and 128k.

This is horrible

DJAdamo

I'm a big fan of old work of Tangerine Dream, J.M.Jarre, Kraftwerk and Schulze but this stuff is horrible, a collection of random electronic noises, painful. A.

The noteworthy first meeting of ’70s space hero Klaus Schülze and his ’90s inheritor Pete Namlook, Dark Side of the Moog is an hour-long journey into vintage space territory, quite similar to Schülze classics Timewind or Moondawn, perhaps because he was using analogue synthesizers for the first time in many years. – Keith Farley
