Their best album
Pinback hit the mark for me here. I love their music, it is chill, a little dark, strange, but wonderful.

Who knows what harmonic treasure they'll unveil after 'Autumn of the Seraphs', but 'Summer in Abaddon' is the peak of the mysterious and methodical thump that is Pinback. First five tracks are solid gold (see Fortress), last five tracks are gold-plated. For years to come your brain will bear a special groove through which the rivers of Pinback will run.
Their arragements and melody are great...
I really like the bass/EG vibe they have, a unique sound that, to me, tells me write away Pinback is in the shuffle. I know it's them even if I haven't heard the song before, but this is a good thing. Very clear, crisp recording as well. Not a lot of unneccessary sound or lo-fi stuff.
Rob Crow has been a favorite singer/song writer of mine since I first stumbled into 'Amazing Undersea Adventures of Aqua Kitty and friends' album from Heavy Vegetable.
This is the first one I picked up and it remains my favorite. With great accessibility to widely varied artists I'm drawn back to these guys regularly and I'm always engaged by their clockwork, understated song writing. Nothing bombastic or flashy, just insistent ear tugging melodies punctuated with bass and staccato guitar.
Well, wait, they are all pretty tremendous albums. But this one is definitely one of my favorites. The whole album flows so well.
Nothing compares... I would not be complete without these guys. They are amazing, a little mainstream but amazing. This album should be the first you buy but NOT the last. Don't be limited by emusic's selection.
Very mainstream pop-punk, but it is really well done. I can tell I will listen to this album for a long time to come. It went strait to my mp3 player.
Great melody with great lyrics. This is the al-ge-bra of math. it grows on an open mind like alge grows on the dock. I recommend downloanding the lyrics so you can sing along to blue and others...This made my summer.
