Excellent...

I gave this record a listen after hearing "Doorway". I was aware that PTR collaborated with The Knife last year and as I'm a die hard Knife fan I took interest. I don't want to make comparisons, but there shared qualities between this record and recent Knife music, so I highly recommend it to fans of Fever Ray, Knife and Karin Dreijer Andersson. I'm confused as to why the @sshole below felt the need to lash out in regard to this record as well as state an opinion on Depeche Mode, who's work is not comparable. If the presence synths makes a band sound "like Depeche Mode" and you "like Depeche Mode" then you're totally going to love it, you know, cuz they both sound totally HORRENDOUS.

Plan On It Being Good

LOE

Not sure why one reviewer chose to hammer down on this album so badly because, in fact, it's pretty damn good. I'm guessing the band must have got miscateogorized within the "Electronic" genre when it probably would have been better served under the more progressive-friendly "Alternative" label. Each attracts a certain crowd and when one or the other shows up and doesn't get what's exactly promised sadly the artist suffers. Alas.

If you like tUnE-yArDs, The Knife or Fever Ray there's plenty to like about this album, also, I never saw how it relates to Depeche Mode

Worst record of all time?

Smalltownghosts

I have listened to this record and it is HORRENDOUS. do no listen to it unless you like Depeche Mode (who also stinks). www.yarnly.com has a more comprehensive review on the terribleness of this album. I normally do not write reviews on emusic but i felt compelled to spare you of $7 and 55 min. of your life
