I remember this being one of the first albums I purchased as a college freshman (circa 1996). This was during a time when 2-Pac dropped the Makaveli disc and east and west coast beef was at its peak. This album easily gave true hip hop listeners a breath of fresh air and some positive and thought provoking to sink into. My 3 Wives diffenent banger along with gods, earths, and 85ers.
Absolutely killer blend of knowledge, beats, and reggae influence. I've learned a lot from this record over the years and can't believe it's not a certified 'classic'. Been playing the cassette for ten yrs and my wife found for me on eBay last year for $100!! (surprise bday gift). 12-credits? MUST BUY!! This was a defining record for me in college (white kid listening to west coast gangsta rap)...and POW!...I found this record and learned about some serious conscious livin through complex rhymes and beats that could be rocked at any party. FLAWLESS HIP HOP RECORD in my opinion
