Jazz? Electronica? Downtempo? World Music? All these and more could be correctly used to label Praful. Certainly there are live instruments being played (notably the saxaphone on some tracks) as well as synth riffs that sound familiar and yet can't be called "more of the same old thing". While most of the tracks are instrumental a few do feature vocals, "One Day Deep" sounding akin to something Moby forgot to publish and "Teardrop Butterfly" perhaps suggesting the sun drenched beaches of Ibiza... All in all this CD is like a sampler of world electronic jazz, some slower, some of a faster tempo ("Inspiracao"), and definitely tough to nail down to just one genre. Perfect music to supply background at a dinner party or just chilling out with a cold beverage and a few good friends... plenty there to listen to or just let it drift from one corner of the musical globe to another without distracting other goings on.
