If you are at all interested in Pylon's sound, this is a fantastic album that's hangs right up there with the original two in content, and has better production and sound. Many of these songs would fit right in with the earlier albums. This one, however, isn't as influential as the others because it came out six or seven years after, and they had already made their impact.
The Coathangers couldn't play their instruments when they formed on a whim five years ago but now — somewhat to the dismay of singer/guitarist Julia Kugel — they're getting sort of awesome. "We're still kind of shitty. I tell myself that to keep the pressure off," she says on a break from her day job at a prom and bridal dress store.
