80's British underground
If you've heard of the legendary Manchester nightclub Hacienda, you might have heard of Quando Quango. Otherwise, the band flies largely under the radar, but trust me when I say you should check this out. The full 12" mix of "Love Tempo" is a quintessential 80's post-punk disco jam that was hugely influential in NYC, London, and Chicago discos. "S.T." is a cool latin-infused rhythm track with horns and punk vocals, while "Triangle" is a sweet new wave groove with driving organic percussion. "Tingle" is classic new wave with synth, sonic drums, and even some sax. To be honest, all of the tracks are worth a listen!
