Excellent baroque playing
Nuanced vibratos. Authoritative. Very satisfying.

Gramophone Magazine has this to say: "[Podger] dances her way easily and gracefully through them with little evident effort, demonstrating along the way clean intonation, pleasingly resonant tone and a palpable sense of natural and spontaneous enjoyment." and: "...there is no doubt that Podger's command of her instrument contributes much to the success of these performances, if only for the way it takes away the sense of struggle often encountered in solo Baroque violin playing."
no romantic and heavy phrases, no disgusting all-time vibrato...just the purity and beauty of the baroque violin... charming mannerisms and exquisite affectation along with vivid tempi fulfill this great performance...I love this recording
"British violinist Rachel Podger's reading is as dull as dishwater.... Her technique is certainly solid, but that doesn't make up for her colorless performance....timid and strained....It's a real shame: these pieces stand as a great testament to Telemann's inventiveness, but you wouldn't think so if you only heard Podger's recording."
