Living up to high standards

Noguru

Great to see this on e-music on release in UK. I have been watching and listening to Ralph for over forty years and this album lives up the high standards he has set. Sadly many people only know his work from Streets of London but he has a vast back catalogue of great songs. After a couple of listens those on this album live up to expectations. In fact a typical Ralph McTell album, story songs, love songs and a nod to his blues and ragtime heroes delivered in his relaxed easy style.

Magnificent McTell

jambos21

This has been a long time coming. It is 10 Years since there has been a McTell album of new material. And boy it has been worth the wait. From the reminiscenes of Lantern Slides, missed opportunities in the girl on the jersey ferry to the joys of the title track, Rosalinda and London Apprentice. This may well be his masterpiece
