I never thought of RLYL as a "goth" band but the bass-heavy music and Chris Reed's baritone should appeal to fans of The Mission, The Sisters of Mercy, or even Clan of Xymox. If you don't want to use up so many credits at once, get tracks 12-22, which comprise the 'Blow' album. This is (in my opinion) their best and most accessible work. The video for "Temptation" was a staple on MTV's late night alternative rock show 120 Minutes.

Nothing Wrong/Blow is a combination of the two albums they released after signing to RCA in 1988. Both albums are important releases from one of the biggest names in goth music from the ’80s. Fans of the band may like this because in consolidates the two albums, but this will probably appeal to those curious about the melodic goth metal that Red Lorry Yellow Lorry cultivated in the underground for many years. – Bradley Torreano
