I heard this in 2009, but here it is on Emusic in 2010. "Cave Something" is one of the best songs of 2010, and since it is almost November already, "Reasons" gets my vote for one of the best albums of the year. No, wait. Their new EP is out in just a few days...
Heavy on the My Bloody Valentine with lots of Sonic Youth mixed in. Johnny Rotten could sing Baby Alligator and it'd sound cool. Love the influences. Those Jazzmaster tremelo bar slow bends will put a smile on your face. Excellent students. I give 'em and A+.
I get the same giddy rush from this record that one might get from surviving a near-death experience...but way less scary. Thank you Red Pens! Thank You!
I was hooked at first listen. The entire album is a must-hear with heavy Sonic Youth influences, sounds like it was recorded in a small studio or apartment room...which has a ton of appeal. This band can rock it out!
