Hobart’s classic Nashville style, complete with mellow baritone twang and unbelievable puns (like the soon-to-be-classic “I Walked In While He Was Changing Your Mind”), is given an energy boost by Vincent Floyd’s lively drumming and J.B. Morris’ meaty electric guitar. Though it may not appeal to Billy Ray Cyrus’ country-pop fans, this is a heady country-rock hybrid. – Tim Sheridan
