simply beautiful
This album is so sparse, but so lovely. All of the songs consist of soft and quiet guitars overlayed with Andy Hull's heartbreaking voice. Perfect for sleeping or lounging around.

Sombre, introspective and simple.
This album is amazing, get it. Say hi to Jeremiah for me Andy.
This album is a real gem. Fifty minutes of very tight simple songs. Just look at the abundance of tracks less than three minutes. The guitar and a voice composition leaves a sparse sound which will appeal to fans of Iron and Wine. More than anything this album is cohesive. The lyrics return to the same set of nautical signifiers throughout. The same themes of distance, loneliness, betrayal play through the album. Don't get me wrong though, the simplicity of this album is full of joy and nostalgia too. All in all, a very nice surprise. If you like this, try The Great Lake Swimmers and vice versa.
