A good REK album
I like this one. Different from Live at the Ryman, this one is probably a bit lower key whereas the Ryman one is real kick-ass. Different flavours for different moods, this is good.

What more can I say?
I love REK; and particuarly like his live performances/albums. This one is pretty bad; sounded as if he was ill.
When a friend, a colleague at a law firm, introduced me to Robert Earl Keen, I replied with some confusion, in a Texas whine "but he can't sing!" Then I went to a live concert in Fort Worth and stood all night in a nasty, wet, parking lot. Then the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. REK is meant to be heard live, in the flesh. When that's not possible, you have to settle for recordings like this and remember the happiness and glory and freedom and fun and home security of it all!
What more can I say! This is one incredible live album that captures the some of the very best of REK. Songs like "The Road Goes On Forever", "Blow You Away" and "Merry Christmas From the Family" are just pure classic songs. Very well recorded and produced album. You just can't go wrong with this one!!! In the words of REK,"THE ROAD GOES ON FOREVER AND THE PARTY NEVER ENDS"!! That sentiment captures this CD very well!!
