root boy is the best! famous icon of dc. he sould be in the hall of fame already. i rembember him at the smoke in in 1979. after our march from the white house, there he was on the washington monuemt stage. couldn't belive what i was seeing.being in a basement band he inspired me like i can't describe. "party till you puke" he acutally puked on state. that shit is real. he was the real deal, miss you root boy, thanks for the sacrifice

I know what you're thinking, and you're wrong. Root Boy Slim has been playing bars and dives here in the suburbs of Washington DC since 1977, years before fatboy slim showed up. Root was quite a character, both on and off stage. This is a classic album."Dare to be fat" is a Rootboy staple. Hopefully emusic will get more from him: "Christmas at K=mart" and "Boogie til you puke" are must-haves.
