Not my favorite
Let me start by saying there is some good stuff here, but this is not my favorite Manowar album. Louder Than Hell would be my favorite, followed by Battle Hymns, Sign of the Hammer, and Triumph of Steel. IMHO the best tracks on this album are Wheels of Fire, Kings of Metal, Hail and Kill, and Blood of the Kings. The rest of this album is not up to the usual Manowar standard. Sting of the Bumblebee is a really good bass solo, but I'm just not into bass solos. The Crown and the Ring and Kingdom Come are not very interesting to me. Pleasure Slave would be good if I were a prepubescent kid who thought sounds of women faking orgasms was really cool. The Warriors Prayer is not music, but a tale - a four and a half minute tale - no music. So that makes four out of ten tracks that I like. Two stars for this album simply because its not all bad.
