I saw Roy only months before his demise. He was playing a gig. He looked like a defeated man. His playing didn't suffer for it though. I have not confirmed this, but word has it after founding member Jone's untimely death the Stones contacted Roy for the spot. I heard he turned them down. Citing restricting his artistic capabilities! I can not verify this as fact.

At last!

Pepsi

At last the three Alligator cds come to eMusic. This is the last album Roy recorded before his untimely death. If you like guitar music then they'll be something for you here. Was he blues, rock or country - well a little of all of them. If you can get to read "American Axe" a wonderful biography, you'll get an understanding of what this is all about. In the meantime listen to High Wire, Flash Chordin' and the Blues Lover.
