STOP
This is a really bad remix.
This is a really bad remix.
These are re-recorded songs with Orbison's vocal tracks. Terrible, unholy, and overproduced. Stop! Turn back! Find the originals! e-music, stop the madness and remove this one. Ugh.
This man was unique and true to himself - an epitaph I'd like to be applied to me, now that I think about it! Every cut is a classic and great music that takes me back to the day. I love the fact that I can still get music like this that I wasn't smart enough to collect at the time.
overproduction to the maxxxxxxx!!!
Should've read the comments. I thoroughly disagree with Warmglass. The sound of these remakes is terrible. Never trade beautiful sixties production for thoughtless eighties re-recordings. What a waste of 12 credits.....
Great collection.
... of songs I grew up with. "Only the Lonely" was a favorite of mine.
Roy Orbison is a legend. I'm 57 years of age and love today's music, but I'll never get tired of listening to this one-of-a-kind artist. Roy Orbison has a style of his own and each of these songs on this collection is a gem that should be downloaded and listened to over and over again. Class just never fades away!
This is a re-release of an album created in the late eighties by Roy. It features his hits re-recorded. In my personal opinion it offers great sound that is not typical of the late eighties, nor the original recordings. This is my pick of all the Orbison downloads. Of note is the fact that this album was produced by film director David Lynch after "In Dreams" was used to great effect in "Blue Velvet." Also see Mulholland Drive (the film) for an emotional preformance of "Cryin" in Spanish, also directed by Lynch.
Remakes, but done very well, virtually the same arrangements as the originals and Orbison's voice hasn't lost a beat. This is one of the few albums of remakes that stand up to the originals.
